- I have seen a problem with the new USR 33.6 Sportster. I was tasked with
- discovering why they do not work with the products my company makes.
- Specifically, the USR 28.8 works fine with our auto-dial software, but the
- USR 33.6 fails.

- I put a serial communication analyzer on the Sportster's port, and watched
- what happens when the DTR signal in set from OFF to ON. The modem emits
- several hundred <NULL> characters (0x00 ASCII), before it responds "OK".
- I reported this to USR Technical Support. They have called me back to say
- that they are "further investigating" this problem.
